MASA  represents South Australian aeromodellers federally through affiliation with the federal Model Aeronautical Association of Australia (MAAA).  Three Executive members sit on the MAAA Board of Management.

MASA promotes aeromodelling by actively supporting local competitions, providing low interest loans to member clubs for the purchase and improvement of aeromodelling facilities,  a reference point for local, state and federal government bodies and advice in respect to risk assessments, competition rules and safety issues.
